The nut and thread is one of the most recent additions to our toy line up, and it’s one of the firm favourites among our customers. At the first level this is a solid rubber wood toy that has an incredible tactile feel to it, and a super-satisfying twist to lock the nut down on the thread.
To a young child this Nut and Thread combo is a puzzle to be beaten and as they figure it out, they are exercising their cognitive problem solving abilities. Recognising that they have completed it will give them a sense of achievement that will keep them coming back for more.
Manoeuvring the nut into place requires finger-tip and palmar manipulation which are both important fine-motor skills for them to master.
